    ● Simulated moving-bed (SMB)

SMB (simulated moving-bed) is a continuous adsorption separation process with multi-columns.
SMB is often divided into four zones with feed, desorbent, extract, and raffinate (see the figure below).
The modeling and simulation of SMB have been carried out by using FAST-Chrom/SMB based on the CE/SE scheme.
